Robotics Software Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Robotics Software Engineer to join our team in the exciting field of robotics, control, and artificial intelligence. As a Robotics Software Engineer, you will play a vital role in developing cutting-edge software solutions for advanced robot control and human-robot interaction. Your work will focus on a range of areas, including advanced robot control, collision-free path planning, safety software for robot motion, grasp planning for vacuum grippers, and human-robot interaction with intuitive multi-modal interfaces.

• Develop software for advanced robot control, collision-free path planning, safety software for robot motion, and grasp planning for vacuum grippers.
• Design and implement intuitive multi-modal interfaces for human-robot interaction.
• Apply the developed framework to real-world industrial robotics setups.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless integration of robotics systems.
• Conduct thorough testing and debugging of software to ensure optimal performance.
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in robotics, mechatronics, computer vision, and artificial intelligence.
• Contribute to the software engineering lifecycle management, utilizing Agile methodologies.

• Strong foundation in computer science, mechanics, mathematics, and electronics.
• In-depth knowledge of robotics, mechatronics, and computer vision concepts.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as C++ (preferred).
• Familiarity with Linux operating systems.
• Experience with software engineering practices and lifecycle management, including SCRUM.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Additional Skills (Preferred but not mandatory):

• Familiarity with concepts in Artificial Intelligence.
• Knowledge of ontologies (OWL) for representing knowledge and reasoning engines (Pellet, Hermit, etc.) for logical inference.
• Experience with ROS (Robot Operating System).
